In recent years, she is working on promoting user voluntary contributions to technologies - a new concept called "Technology Extra-Role Behavior." Her research has appeared or will appear in Information Systems Research, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, and Information Systems Journal. With a background in marketing and psychology, Melody is interested in studying individual behaviors at the post-adoption/-purchase stage. She also held visiting positions at the University of Hong Kong and Clemson University. She received her PhD in Information Systems from the City University of Hong Kong. Haiyun (Melody) Zou is an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems & Management (ISM) Group at Warwick Business School.
